10 Scriptures to Remind you to Love Others
I feel like we live in a society with so many contradictory messages. On one hand, we see riots everywhere, but then we see people preaching acceptance and love. If we are really loving everyone, why are we rioting and causing so much division. I think sometimes we forget that we simply should love.
As I have been thinking on this, I dug into the Word of God and started looking for scriptures that remind us to love one another.
Here are a few of the verses I found:
- Romans 13:8
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- Romans 13:10
Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
- 1 Peter 4:8
And above all things, have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
- 1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
- John 15:12-13
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
- Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
- Matthew 5:43-44
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
- Romans 12:9-10
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.
- Ephesians 5:28
So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
- 1 Thessalonians 4:9
But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.
